หลายๆคนคงจะเคยได้ยินมาตรฐานห้องประชุม Thailand MICE Venue Standard และ ASEAN MICE Venue Standard ซึ่ง 2 มาตรฐานนี้ถือเป็นมาตรฐานหลักที่หลายๆสถานที่จัดงาน หรือโรงแรมที่ทำห้องประชุมใฝ่ฝันจะได้มาติดประดับหน้าสถานที่จัดงานของตัวเอง เพื่อบ่งบอกถึงความมีมาตรฐานและคุณภาพของสถานที่นั้นๆ Thailand MICE Venue Standard เป็นตราสัญลักษณ์มาตรฐานสถานที่จัดงานประเทศไทย กำหนดขึ้นโดยสำนักงานส่งเสริมการจัดประชุมและนิทรรศการ (องค์การมหาชน) หรือ TCEB ที่เห็นถึงความจำเป็นว่าควรมีเครื่องมือวัดมาตรฐานคุณภาพที่ได้รับการยอมรับในระดับสากล โดยเฉพาะในส่วนของสถานที่สำหรับการจัดงานไมซ์ เพื่อเป็นกรอบในการยกระดับมาตรฐานและเอื้อให้ผู้ประกอบการไมซ์ทั้งในไทย ตลอดจนระดับอาเซียน ASEAN MICE Venue Standard ถือเป็นอีกหนึ่งมาตรฐานที่กำหนดขึ้นโดย TCEB แต่ระดับความเข้มงวดอาจจะมากกว่าในเรื่องของความเป็นสากลในเรื่องของความสามารถด้านภาษาของผู้ให้บริการ และการรักษาความปลอดภัยของผู้เข้าร่วมงานระดับ VIP ส่วนเกณฑ์ข้อบังคับพื้นฐานจะเหมือนกับมาตรฐานของ TMVS ทุกอย่าง ซึ่งผู้ประกอบการจะต้องผ่านการประเมิน TMVS ก่อนจึงจะเข้าร่วมการวัดประเมินในระดับ ASEAN ได้ ในไทยจึงยังมีน้อยสถานที่จัดงานประชุมที่จะได้ตราสัญลักษณ์นี้
