Phuket recently hosted the 4th Annual Destination Wedding Planners Congress 2017. This is one of the biggest Phuket conferences that bring together wedding planners, creative partners and even leading suppliers from the different countries.
A total of 65 different countries participated in this Phuket conference with more than 450 wedding planner delegates around the globe.
Before the Phuket wedding conference, the events have previously been held in Greece, Italy and Mauritius. Kobkarn Wattanavrangkul the Minister of Tourism and Sports really emphasized that Thai government is giving importance to the wedding and honeymoon segment and Thailand also aims to be developed as the wedding hub in the Asean region.
“The Thai Government has always recognized the importance of the wedding and honeymoon segment as one of the top generators of tourism revenue,” said Minister of Tourism and Sports Kobkarn Wattanavrangkul. For more details, please read this article from Phuket Gazette.
