The Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) organized the ‘4th Thailand Domestic Mice Mart\u2019 event at Duangjitt Resort & Spa on 31 May 2017.<\/p>\n

More than 200 people attended the event. Attendees consisted of buyers and sellers in the MICE segment, including hotels, event planners, DMC, and airlines.<\/p>\n

Over recent years, the government has increasingly focused on developing Phuket as a MICE city. With the island\u2019s pristine beaches and settings, abundant availability of MICE hotels, and unique culture, Phuket represents a gem MICE city of the Andaman.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a great opportunity for buyers and sellers to negotiate and conduct business within Thailand. Our main focus is on the Andaman cluster, that is Phuket, Krabi, Phang Nga, Ranong and Trang, as well as neighboring cities such as Nakhon Sri Thammarat, Surat Thani, Chumphon and Satun. However, we also intend to cater to other major cities throughout Thailand,\u201d said Jirut Issarangkul Na Ayudhaya, acting-president of the TCEB<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Among the attendees was the governor of Phuket, Norraphat Plodthong.<\/p>\n

\u201cPhuket is a tourist city that has everything tourists need, along with the added advantage of land, water and air transport options. It is a perfect city for people who love nature and culture. With the progress on Thailand 4.0 and Smart City initiatives, Phuket is ready to welcome high-end travellers,\u201d said Gov Norraphat.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe next plan is to expand Phuket International Airport<\/a> so that we can accommodate more tourists and also build a public transport system that will be ready by 2022.
